How to Measure

So once you have decided on your design, colour and fabric, the next step is to do your measurements. It's that little extra effort that makes all the difference. Instead of stressing about which size to pick and compromising on fit, we will customise the pattern to your body, because there really is no such thing as a standard size. Place your order and respond to your order confirmation with the measurements.

We do understand that this process is not quite seamless, we are working to improve this. If you need any assistance give us a call,  email or whatsapp.

01

Bust

Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front to get the full measurement.

If you will be wearing a padded bra with your dress please wear this when measuring. Make sure your arms are down.

02

Waist

Measure the circumference of your waist. Use the tape to circle your waist (sort of like a belt would) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline. Make sure your stomach is relaxed to get an accurate measurement.

03

Hip

Measure the circumference of your hips. Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your buttocks. The hip positioning is approximately 20cm below your natural waist.

04

Length

When measuring the waist tie a string at waist. Measure from here down to your desired length. Be sure to wear the correct shoes when measuring for the most accurate length. Alternatively you can measure from where your neck and shoulder meet down to the floor.

For the tulip style skirtmeasure from your waist down to just below the knee. You can also measure this from your neck shoulder down.
